Start Your Day at the Sun Bowl
Rise with the sun! As the easternmost trails and lifts at Stratton, the Sun Bowl is the first area on the mountain to see the sun each morning. The Sun Bowl is known for its sunlit early morning skiing and snowboarding as well as the first place where the snow softens up on a bright day. The Sunrise Express Lift is a high-speed six-pack that services the Sun Bowl base area, and Solstice is a four-person lift, also out of the Sun Bowl base area. Sunrise Express brings you halfway up the mountain, where you can ski over to the main base area, or make the short skate to Shooting Star Lift, another high-speed six-pack, to access the summit. Parking at the Sun Bowl offers quick accessibility to the slopes, with just a short walk from your vehicle to the base area, including a skier drop off area that puts your boots on the snow right when you step out of your car. Rentals, Guest Services and quick ski and snowboard tune-ups are available at the Sun Bowl Base Lodge. Enjoy the full-service food court with indoor & outdoor seating and upstairs Loft Bar.
Sun Bowl is also the home of Stratton's Nordic Center and the Coca-Cola Tube Park.
