MEMBERSHIP INFORMATION Resident Membership includes Daily access to fitness center**, 75 foot salt water pool, hot tub, steam room, cardio equipment, weight room, stretching room, self-touring spin bikes, fitness classes. *Children included up to the age of 23 *15 and under will not be issued a membership card, as we require an adult member to accompany the child at all times. Membership cards will be available for pick up at the Stratton Training and Fitness Center. Member guest rate $10 per day admission, member must accompany guest at all times while on site. Price does not include fitness class, tennis courts, or massage. PLEASE NOTE: **Blackout days are effective from Christmas to the end of the winter season. All members will have access for early morning work outs between the hours of 6:00am and 8:30am on blackout days.

Walk-In Guests are welcome, but please note admission may be restricted on winter weekends and holidays for day guests due to member volume.

Class Descriptions All classes are 60 minutes unless otherwise noted.
The body bar is a weighted bar from 9 to 18 pounds. The class will include a warm up followed by a fusion of traditional strength exercises mixed with balance and stretching work. We will work all the major muscles statically and dynamically. The instructor will demonstrate options or levels for each move to accommodate the fitness level of each participant. Bring your sneakers and a water bottle and get ready to move, strengthen and stretch!
Fireside Flow Yoga
A Stratton Après-Ski specialty! Come enjoy the warmth and glow of our fire in the Living Room as we flow though a gentle all-levels vinyasa style practice. This is a class for everyone! We will build the heat, zeal, energy and vigor that stokes our internal fire as we tone our core and build muscle strength smartly. Class begins at 4:30pm and lasts an hour.
Hatha Yoga 101
Hatha Yoga 101 Starting a yoga practice can be confusing and intimidating, not to mention uncomfortable for those of us with tightness and tension in our bodies. Fall in love with yoga in this class designed for absolute beginners and those just starting to solidify a yoga practice. Students will learn safe alignment, breathing, and body awareness in a slow but steady sequence of poses that dynamically open the body to freer movement both on and off the mat. Modifications and props will be used to ensure that students find comfort and release. Intermediate and advanced students who want to get back to basics are also welcome.
Hoop Jam is a low impact fitness activity that tones the body, improves balance and coordination, and provides an effective cardio work out, all while havingfun. Hoops are provided for the class. No prior hoop experience necessary.
Indoor Cycling (Spin) classes will teach proper positioning on the bike and cycle form with intervals for endurance and speed drills for performance. Get ready to rock and roll!
Mountain Yoga Series
The Mountain Yoga Series is a summer-long yoga program that encourages yogis of all levels to explore their uniquely personal practice, amidst a gorgeous mountain backdrop. The series will consist of three classes, happening each weekend from Memorial Day through Columbus Day.
Saturdays will be filled with Mountain Top Yoga, which starts with a gondola ride to our one-of-a-kind summit yoga deck at the top of the Kidderbrook Ravine trail, and H2yOga, taking place on stand up paddle boards floating in our private pond behind the Golf Course. On Sundays, Mid-Mountain Hike & Yoga will round off the weekend in all the right ways. Meeting in the village, a guided hike will take yogis to the back deck of the Mid-Mountain Lodge, where they will participate in a 60 minute yoga class, followed by a hike back down to the base. Each of these classes are designed to highlight the beauty of summer time in the Green Mountains, as well as give yogis an opportunity to expand their practice.
Mountain Top Yoga: Enjoy 90 minutes of yoga at the summit of Stratton Mountain on our one-of-a-kind yoga deck. Class includes a round trip on the gondola, though hikers are welcome as well! Please check-in at First Run Ski Shop in the Stratton Village and borrow a mat if you don’t have your own. Please be sure to arrive at the gondola 10-15 minutes ahead of class to ensure you have enough time to ride to the summit and get settled on the deck before class. Please come prepared with water and a mat if you have your own. Application of sunscreen and bug repellent are suggested. Price: $25, Resident and Full Members $5
H2yOga: Enjoy your yoga practice atop a stand up paddle board (SUP) in our private pond behind the Golf Course. Class begins with a 15 minute safety instruction and basic board skills introduction, followed by a 40 minute yoga sequence, finishing with 20 minutes of ‘free play’. We will be out on water, so please dress accordingly (a bathing suit beneath wicking yoga clothes seems to be a crowd favorite outfit for this practice). Please meet at First Run in Stratton Village for check-in. Price: $30 bring your own paddle board, $45 with rented paddle board from First Run.
Mid-Mountain Hike & Yoga: Round off your weekend with a guided hike to the Mid-Mountain Lodge, followed by an invigorating 60 minute vinyasa yoga class facing the majestic summit of Stratton Mountain. Class will meet at First Run Ski Shop in the Stratton Village. Please be sure to arrive 10-15 minutes ahead of time to ensure you have signed up and have gathered all hike necessities. Please come prepared with water and a yoga mat if you have your own. Extra mats are available to be borrowed. Application of sunscreen and bug repellent are suggested. Please note: participants will be carrying their own mat during the hike. Price: $25, Resident and Full Members $5
Pilates is a methodology of lengthening and strengthening the muscles, while maintaining stability of the spine and the core. You'll get to stretch the quads and hips that get tight, as well as strengthen those muscles. You will open up the Achilles tendons, which also get tight, Focus is also on opening the chest with extension in the spine, and targeting the core, which drives all sports.
Power Yoga is a vigorous, flowing yoga class linking postures, motion and breath. Be prepared to work hard and sweat a lot! Prior experience practicing yoga is recommended.
Vinyasa - A moderately-vigorous flow that emphasizes alignment, foundation, core and synchronizing breath with movement, this class will work to diminish stress while grounding and stabilizing the body through traditional sun salutations and balancing postures. Modifications and variations are offered making this class suitable for all level abilities.
Vinyasa with Restorative
Vinyasa with Restoratives A yin-yang approach, this class will begin with a supported posture and develop into a moderately vigorous vinyasa flow cultivating strength, balance and flexibility. Restorative postures are offered in the second half of class to relieve stress and promote inner peace and well-being. Modifications and variations are offered making this class suitable for all level abilities.
Yoga Flow explores traditional yoga poses, with basic to challenging options. Calming breathing techniques and the meditative aspect of the practice may be featured. No experience necessary. Newbies and experienced practitioners are welcome.
Yoga For All
Yoga For All is for students of all levels are invited to join these classes, including new students and especially anyone who has never been on a yoga mat! Clear instruction is given in breathing technique, warm-up and posture flow. New students will develop body awareness, posture alignment and core strength in basic poses, while experienced students are encouraged to explore advanced variations in familiar postures. Everyone works to his or her own ability and comfort level.
Yogalates is a Yoga and Pilates for all levels of fitness and yoga experience. The focus is on strength, stretching and mindfulness so improved overall health and sports performance in obtained.
