Learn to XC Ski On 10km of Nordic Trails

Stratton Mountain’s Nordic Center features 10km of cross-country ski trails groomed for both classic and skate skiing. Located in the Sun Bowl area, the Nordic Trails are regularly maintained and groomed for the best cross-country skiing conditions daily.

For those looking to learn, group, private and semi-private lessons are available on weekends and some holidays and are taught by instructors certified by the U.S. Ski and Snowboard Association and Professional Ski Instructors of America. WHAT TO KNOW, WHERE TO GO

A Nordic Trail Pass is required to ski the Nordic Trails, and is not included in this rental.
Head to the Sun Bowl Nordic Center located through the archway on the left just before the Sun Bowl parking lots.
Parking is available in the Sun Bowl lots or along the access road near the Nordic Center.
Pass through the archway and up the small hill to the warming hut for check-in.
Dogs are not permitted on the Nordic Trails at any time.
UNMARKED HAZARDS: Please use caution as unmarked hazards may exist.

Semi Private XC Ski Lessons
$109. Saturdays and Sundays at 9AM, 11AM, 1PM and 2PM
Book a Semi-Private Cross-Country Ski Lesson for $109 with the option of adding up to 3 additional people (4 total) to your booking if desired. 50-minute Lessons begin at 9AM, 11AM, 1PM or 2PM on Saturdays and Sundays. For private lessons on weekdays, please call the Nordic Center to verify availability 802-297-4567. Nordic Center Trail Fees and Rentals must be booked separately.

Learn to Nordic Lessons
$99. Saturdays and Sundays at 12:30PM. Additional holiday dates; Dec 29, 2025 to Jan 2, 2026 and Jan 19, 2026.
This is a 3-hour group learn to Nordic Ski Program offered on Saturdays and Sundays. Learn to Nordic lessons include 3 hours with an instructor, during which participants will have the opportunity to practice their skills at the end of the session. This program includes an all-day trail pass and equipment. Two lesson age groups are offered, 13 & Under and 13 & Over. A 13-year-old may choose a youth or adult group. Groups are capped at 7. If you are interested in signing up for multiple sessions, you will receive a discount on-site at check-in.
