We provide infant and toddler childcare for resort guests and year-round care for local families. Reservations are required. Lunch and snacks are not included. Stratton Child Care is a 4-STAR program. STARS is a voluntary state quality credentialing program for Step Ahead Recognition System. Classroom Information
Infants – Chickadees – 6w-12m
Our Chickadee (infant) classroom is perfect for our littlest guests to learn and grow. We follow your home schedule as closely as possible. During your infant’s wake window, we will practice tummy time, sitting, crawling, or explore our mountain community during a stroller ride. In addition to our play space, the infant room has a separate nap area. Having a separate nap area supports the needs of all of our families and their varying schedules, to help your little one thrive.
Please provide enough premade bottles for the day (plus an extra), diapers and wipes, 2-3 sets of extra clothes, a sleep sack if used, pacifiers if used, and any solid food they eat through the day. We follow all safe sleep practices, including placing infants on their back to sleep, sleeping only in a crib, and having nothing but a pacifier and a sleep sack in their crib.
Toddlers – Sparrows – 12m-24m
In the Sparrow (toddler) room, our toddlers are inquisitive and learning how to navigate the world around them. We nourish their gross motor and language development through our daily activities. The sparrows love to get messy as they explore art and sensory experiences. When the weather cooperates, we love to get outside for walks.
All of our toddlers follow the same classroom schedule, which includes two snacks, lunch, and one afternoon nap. Please provide enough food for the day, diapers and wipes, extra clothes, weather-appropriate outdoor clothing, and any comfort items that may help your toddler adjust.
Preschool – Owls - 2-3.5
The Owls (toddlers) are adventurous, curious, and resilient children trying to explore their independence. In the owl room, we strive to provide an engaging and safe space where your little one can explore all the elements of who they are. With a heavy emphasis on outdoor learning, we do our best to ensure we spend time outdoors as much as possible. We balance our outdoor time with guided indoor activities such as art, sensory exploration, books, imaginative learning, and so much more!
Each day brings a new adventure, and with adventure sometimes comes a mess. We ask that each day your child is sent with 2-3 full (weather-appropriate) backup outfits, 2 snacks, and one lunch meal (each lunch box will need two ice packs), diapers (if needed), and a spill-proof water bottle.
