What is HOMESICK?
Stratton Mountain and East Street Archives join to celebrate the history, tradition, and progression of a sport that got its start right here at Stratton, Vermont, with an event that brings the community together through snowboarding and creativity.

HOMESICK is back for its fourth season from March 20-22, 2026, with three days of competition for all ages and abilities, art, photography, board demos, vintage board room, and more. This event is a homecoming for the Who’s Who of Snowboarding, led by Olympic Gold Medalist Ross Powers, who still calls Stratton home, along with today’s leading athletes like Zeb Powell and amateurs, young to OG, to compete where it all began. Register now, before the roster fills. Olympic medals and US Open trophies are welcome but not required.

Is Spectating free?
Yes! If you're not riding in the events, come and just check them out. The main event venue is located at the bottom of East Byrnes Side, a short walking distance from American Express. A lift ticket is needed to ride or get to the start of the event venues via skis or snowboards.

Can anyone compete?
HOMESICK is open to snowboarders of any age!

Are there age divisions?
There will be separate age divisions for each event, which will also be split into Men's and Women's divisions for each age group, as well as a new Adaptive Division for the OG Downhill.

OPEN DIVISION: The Open division is a gender diverse category reserved for snowboarders who identify as Trans Male, Trans Female or Non-Binary. Friends of the Trans and Non-Binary athletes are also welcome to race in this division. HOMESICK invites all racers to choose the division that best matches their gender identity.

ADAPTIVE DIVISION: The OG Downhill on Sunday has an Adaptive division reserved for Adaptive Snowboarders of all ages and all genders. Competing in the Adaptive Division is free for all adaptive athletes.

Do I need a helmet?
Yes, all event participants will need to wear a helmet.

When and where do I check-in?
Registration & Info Center: Stratton's main Base Lodge
Registration hours will be released closer to the event's date.

Do I have to register?
Yes, with a capacity on the number of participants per event, you can sign up for one, or all three events, and we recommend doing so in advance to hold your spot. Sign up using the above link on this page!

Do I need a lift ticket?
Yes, all participants will need a lift ticket for each day they participate in an event or want to ride the lifts to spectate. Those registered for an event can purchase a discounted ticket for the day of their competition at registration.

Can I volunteer for the event?
This event runs on the efforts of fine volunteers like yourself. More info on how to become a volunteer coming soon!

What else is there to do?
Apart from the on-snow events, HOMESICK is a festival of snowboarding and snowboarding culture. On-site, there will also be a photo gallery, a vintage snowboard boardroom to browse, The Dawning Exhibit, an on-snow snowboard demo, a Welcome Party, après music, and all are allowed to spectate the on-snow events.
