Opening day was a success! The projected foot of snow began to fall around 10am and shows no signs of stopping until the wee hours of tomorrow morning. Already, we've had 6 inches accumulate on the mountain! It looks like tomorrow's going to be another epic day. Expect more trail openings tomorrow and into the weekend.
Run, walk, and/or watch the Gobble Gobble Wobble 5K tomorrow starting at 9am, costumes and early registration encouraged. Then enjoy the turkey dinner at Table 43.1 in Black Bear Lodge.
Friday night beginning at 5:30pm the village will be lit up with donated trees for the Snowlight in Vermont event. From 3-6pm Stratton Foundation’s annual Tag Sale is being held in the Base Lodge while live music rocks the upstairs at Grizzly’s.
The “Formal” opening of the Gondola will commence on Saturday at 8:30am. Come dressed in formal attire and be automatically entered to win a mini electric gondola from First Run Ski Shop. Enjoy après at Grizzly’s with live music from 3:30 to 6:30pm and DJ Joe Bell continues the party into the night starting at 10pm. The Grand Re-Opening Reception of the Carlos Otis Clinic is also on Saturday from 6:30 to 8:30pm.
This plan is a projection for Thursday, November 27. Please stay tuned to www.stratton.com for all the latest updates.
