About Luna

The Mountain Club'’s new Executive Chef, Alex Shinn, heads our culinary team with over 25 years of experience in highly-acclaimed fine dining establishments, as well as exclusive, private Island resorts. Chef Alex combines classic cuisine with techniques learned through many years experienced in the kitchens of Europe, the British Virgin Islands and the United States.

Alex'’s culinary philosophy, and the backbone of Luna'’s menu, is the concept of terroir, loosely translated from the French as “"sense of place,"” which involves the use of local agriculture.  Luna provides cuisine comprised of the freshest and highest-quality products from top local farms.

Luna'’s farm-to-table dining is designed to make guests feel right at home and offers casual, quiet, and refined dining, with a sophisticated wine list.  The staff has worked together as a team for many years and is dedicated to providing the finest dining experience possible.
