The VeRmont Challenge
The Vermont Challenge offers up to four glorious days of riding with cyclists from across the U.S. and Canada. You’ll ride through the picturesque countryside, cross covered bridges, and into historic villages of south and central Vermont. The Vermont Challenge fits a niche between the many one-day rides and those high-end, seven-day packaged tours. It’s the best of both rolled into one four-day challenge. Of course you can chose to ride less than all four days, but to truly experience the beauty of Vermont and this event, we strongly urge you to ride with us for two or more days.

Vermont Challenge Vermont Challenge
daily routes for riders of all levels

Each day, you have a choice of rides with challenging routes for elite recreational cyclists and tamer routes for all riders. The routes traverse southern and central Vermont, and include a signature Gran, Medio and Piccolo Fondo for all riders on Saturday. Those seeking a challenge can complete the only Mountain resort Fondo finish in the eastern U.S. The Saturday (8/19) Vermont Challenge 107 mile Fondo finishes with a climb to the 2,100 foot base of Stratton Mountain, southern Vermont’s highest peak, in the true tradition of Europe's grand tours.

"But grind up that climb I did, passing another radar detector just a few hundred feet from the finish. Though my lungs were stripped of breath, I couldn’t help laughing out loud as the thing blinked a paltry '5' in big red lights. There was no threat of a speeding ticket as I crossed the finish line to the sound of ringing cowbells." Read more.

"The roads are fantastic compared to where I live," says Justin Karbel, an elite rider from Connecticut. "The accommodations are wonderful and the people are all so nice."
