The Travel Competition Program is a progressive racing track for U10-U18 skiers. Athletes follow a training plan oriented toward regular competition at partner resorts across Vermont. SWSC Travel Competition athletes train and race collaboratively with Stratton Mountain School athletes and coaches, and also alongside SWSC Junior World Cup athletes who race in the VARA series.
The TC program encompasses Friday and weekend training at Stratton. Additional weekday training opportunities will be available throughout the season, both through SWSC Alpine and in cooperation with Stratton Mountain School. The program also includes a limited number of supported weekday races or clinics for groups U12 and older (dates provided by the start of the training season).
Commitment to Friday and weekend training, attendance at camp days, and participation in as many travel races as possible is expected of skiers in the TC Program. Any prior-year SWSC Alpine athlete who has previously raced in JWC or VARA is eligible for the Travel Competition Program.
Equipment needs for each specific age group are outlined in our communications via Team App. All participants will be required to use Team App.
