Our History

First Run, a leader in mountain sports and lifestyle since 1977, will outfit your adventure with the best in gear, apparel, service and expertise. Whether you're alpine hiking, biking or simply relaxing, be sure to make First Run Ski Shop your first stop.

First Run is your on-mountain hub for everything outdoors with tips on the best hiking trails, places to paddle or gear advice, and the ability to get you and your family ready for the best time while visiting the mountains. Together, the First Run team has more than 100 years of experience and every product in the extensive inventory has been put to the test. We only sell what we own – or would love to own - ourselves.

Summer Gear

First Run carries all the essentials for a great day on and around the mountain, from a great selection of hiking footwear to casual flip flops and clothing to keep you comfortable during any activity or weather you may encounter. While visiting the shop you will find an extensive selection of outdoor and lifestyle product from brands like Dakine, Smartwool, Lole, Horny Toad, Merrell, Salomon and more.

Kayaks and Bikes

First Run offers kayak rentals and tours, weather you want to take a kayak on your own or join our super friendly guides for a leisurely paddle on Lowel Lake we are the place to visit. 

Bikes, yes we have them too, from mountain to road and even kids you can pick up a bike to use to get you around the resort.

Bike Deck

Our Bike Deck gives you direct access to riding the mountain or just simply peddling around the resort

New this summer we will offer mountain bike tours for all ability levels with either a nice quiet ride along the West River or a technical single track ride further down the river we will show you good time on a bike. Bike rentals and transportation provided.
