The Historic Dorset Playhouse has been in continuous use since it's construction in 1929. The original Playhouse structure is composedof two pre-revolutionary barns moved to the present site from Dorset West Road. Professional theatre at the Dorset Playhouse has been an important part of life in Dorset and Manchester since the 1930s. It is one of this area's most widely known cultural attractionsâ€"attended by our community's own residents and by thousands from across a three-state area.
