Good morning everyone and welcome to Throwback Thursday. On this day years ago the hula hoop is patented and Fidel Castro calls Hillary Clinton “a beautiful woman” but none of this really matters to us ski bums. Today we shall set history by skiing 100% open terrain with 73 groomed trails. We shall march fourth (pun intended) to the 8 available lifts including the prestigious Gondola. The day shall bring freedom, justice and cloudy skies with temperatures ranging in the mid-teens. Wind gusts are being recorded at 20 mph flying from the northwest. To my historian buffs out there we shall ski this nation's great mountain until we cannot anymore. George Washington said that, or one of the founding fathers I think. To my millennial friends, tag yourself with an @strattonresort throwback Thursday photo and I will dress up in my best retro gear and see you on one Stratton’s favorites, Frank’s Fall Line!
Safety Message: Beware of changing weather patterns. Play safe, play smart, and enjoy the mountain.
