Such a productive evening we had here at Stratton. This morning we are opening with newly open terrain, including my personal favorite Upper Standard. Also our Snow Bowl lift is up and spinning for the first time this season. If you are looking to avoid some lift lines make you your way down the mountain skiers left to find this hidden gem. You might even get a show, for under the Snow Bowl lift, on Upper Lifeline, there is some great bump skiing. Along with all these new features we have added for today, it’s looking like Mother Nature might give us some new snow. The forecasted 10% chance of precipitation already stared falling this morning with a dusting of the white stuff. With temperatures similar to yesterday’s with averages in the low 20s at the summit and mid to high 20s at the base and 95% humidity, there’s a good chance that we will be seeing more snow throughout the day. Our groomers laid down smooth corduroy on 59 of or 71 open trails last night, including the right half of Upper Standard. So if he loves carving turns, and she love hopping in the bumps, Upper Standard can make any couple happy.
The Nordic Center is open today with 12km of recently groomed terrain, open to adventurous cross-country skiers and snowshoers alike.
Like BBQ? then you’ll love Mountain Smoke located at Mid-Mountain Lodge. Stop by after a few runs on the hill for some pulled pork and other great food specials.
Safety Message: Respect Slow Zones. Play Safe, Play Smart, and Enjoy the Mountain.
