A good Saturday is upon us. Yesterday we collected 6 inches of snow and last night, flurries blanketed the mountain with a nice powder layer. We’ve seen 16 inches of snow in the last week! Today we are opening with 96 trails including the newly opened Sunbeam. There will be 11 lifts to take you up the mountain but beware of wind delays on the Gondola and Snow Bowl Lift. The current temperature is -11 degrees and it feels like -30 so bring an extra layer or three. Corduroy lines are groomed into 86 trails this morning courtesy of the tiller team. Skies are clear and sunny all day. Wind gusts at the top will reach 45mph. Keep the snow prayers coming and we’ll see you out there!
The Burton Mountain Festival is underway gathering a lot of hype. Swing by the base area to check out free snowboard demos, the Riglet Park, and more. The Party in Your Park starts today where teams of freestyler riders and skiers casually compete on the Suntanner park features.
Safety Message: Cover exposed skin, stay warm out there. Play safe, play smart and enjoy the mountain.
