We received over an inch of fluffy stuff before the sky turned into a wintery mix last evening. The heavier precipitation hardened up the snow just enough to give us some nice packed powder surfaces. It’s going to be a warm one out there today. The current temps are 21 at the summit and 29 at the base with those numbers predicted to rise into the mid to high 30s. The sky is overcast with some possible flurries this morning, but in the afternoon we expect to be hanging in the sun. High western winds may cause some lift delays on the gondola, but we plan to start running our 8 lifts at 9AM. Today we have 63 of our 96 available trails lined with smooth corduroy. You can find some of these lines on Upper Standard, Polar Bear, Tamarack, and Suntanner. Come on out and enjoy our great groomers in these spring like conditions!
March is here, and there is so much to do! The 24 Hours of Stratton lets you team up to ski and ride the mountain for a full 24 hours. Help raise money for the underprivileged youth in Vermont while skiing in this FUNdraiser on March 21. You can also sign up for a chance to win some cash at the 2015 Vermont Open on March 12-15. There is $20,000 in prize money as well as live music performances and an all-around great party!
Safety Message: Be aware of changing weather conditions. Downhill skier always has the right of way. Play safe, play smart, and enjoy the mountain.
