Be on time and dress the part because Stratton has a date with Juno tonight! Storm Juno that is, and she plans to bring over a foot of snow to the party. Recent reports predict 12 to 18 inches to fall within a 24 hour span. That means two powder days in a row. We plan to open with 91 trails in the morning. With our grooming team tracking up only a handful of novice skiing trails, the surface will be 88% untouched Powder. Our plan is to start loading our 8 lifts at 9am. Be aware, wind gust reaching 45 mph may cause delays on the gondola. Temperatures tomorrow will range between 10-14 at top and 15-20 at the base. Don’t forget about the snow falling all through the day. Wax up those fat boards and get ready for some pillows because Juno is coming to town.
Eveyone here is getting super stoked for the weekend. Want to know why? Because the Burton Mountain Festival is coming to Stratton! The events will begin January 30th and run through the 1st of February. Members of the Burton crew will be hanging at Stratton’s base area for three days with demos for you to try, tips and pointers for you to learn, and some sick swag for you to win. So to all you Stratton riders, be sure to check out all of the events happening on and off the hill this coming weekend.
Safety Message: Stretch before skiing powder.Ski with a partner. Play safe, play smart and enjoy the mountain.
