Not only is there a Winter Storm Warning for opening day tomorrow but the Weather Channel is forecasting 5-8 inches of snow! You can expect great coverage with freshly groomed top to bottom skiing. Take a ride in our new Gondola cabins while you enjoy day 1 at Stratton.
As always, exciting things are happening off the slopes too. The 9th annual Gobble Gobble Wobble 5k run/walk will be held Thursday morning and costumes are encouraged. Later in the evening, you can celebrate with a turkey dinner at Table 43.1 located in Black Bear Lodge. Reservations are required, book early.
Friday the 28th is Snowlight in Vermont, when the entire village lights up with beautiful donated trees. The magic begins at 5:30pm. The Base Lodge will have Statton Foundation’s annual Tag Sale with live music upstairs at Grizzly’s from 3-6pm. Keep listening in on Saturday as another live performance rocks Grizzly’s from 3:30 – 6:30pm and again at 10pm with DJ Joe Bell. In between sets, you can check out the Carlos Otis Clinic as they host their Grand Re-Opening Reception from 6-8pm.
Though the Gondola will be spinning opening day, the “formal” Gondi opening will be Saturday, November 29 at 8:30am so come dressed to impress and you could win a mini electric gondola from First Run Ski Shop.
For the most up to date information, please check back often.
