Snow Report

Thank You

What a year. I would like to extend a genuine thank you to the skiers and riders who accompanied me on this journey, both the locals who ventured out day after day regardless of weather and conditions, to those who traveled hundreds, sometimes thousands of miles to get here.

The quality of my experience is in large part thanks to the meticulous work of the World's Greatest Grooming Team, our fun-loving terrain parks team, the dedicated lift operators, impressive ski patrollers and Cape Capen's resilient snowmaking team.

From carving first tracks across a pure-white corduroy canvas on Freefall to floating through the Vertigo trees when they were filled in with 12-18" of untouched powder, it's been a blast.

The high jinks and hilarity that was Fire & Ice Festival Week helped everyone unwind and recharge amongst close friends and family, and all of us with a propensity to blow off work for a powder day were nodding our heads in joy at the abundance of snow that fell in late February.

This year's U.S. Open brought with it the world's best riders and the positive snowboarding energy was flowin' for days. Competitions, impeccable spring conditions and cold beers on the Sun Bowl Base Lodge patio were unforgettable.

Even though the snow is melting, at this moment, we stroll into the future knowing that better days are around the bend.

This summer we can take part in all the fun things there are to do or just relax and enjoy the fine art of doing nothing at all.

Stratton's renowned Golf University opens on May 8 so we can improve our game before teeing off on Stratton Mountain's 27-hole golf course, which opens on May 20th and if tennis is your game, Cliff Drysdale's Tennis School at Stratton is the ultimate experience offering a variety of programs for all ages and skill levels.

We're close to every point of interest that makes summer in southern Vermont such a rich tapestry of things to do- from history and culture to hiking, biking and mountain adventures.

Some are easy to find, while others require a little advice from a local. Just ask- we'll be happy to point you in the right direction.
