Stratton X2 Card Proves Cynics Wrong

Stratton Mountain, Vermont-   Stratton Mountain Resort recently called in some of the most brilliant and jaded cynics around, challenging them to disprove the theory that the Stratton X2 Card delivers some of the best savings on lift tickets.   None could dispute the fact that by purchasing an X2 card for the low price of $84.49, skiers and riders get a free lift ticket plus savings of $10 (holidays), $20 (weekends), and $30 (weekdays) off of the price of a lift ticket every single time they come to the mountain.  That means…

Claire Standish uses her X2 card for five weekend day tickets.  That’s $150 dollars savings.  How many lift tickets could she then purchase with those savings?

Daniel LaRusso purchases an X2 card for roughly the same amount as a weekend lift ticket.  The free day of skiing and riding cancels out the price of the ticket and every future ticket purchased is discounted.  The more Daniel visits, the more he saves.

Andrea Carmichael signs up for an X2 card before October 13th.  She pays only $64.49 which is less than the cost of a one day weekday lift ticket.

“I was really looking forward to finding the catch” said respected cynic Andrew Shuritis, “but for the life of me I just can’t find one.  And what really gets me is the convenience on top of the value!”

By linking the X2 card to a credit card, pass holders anxious to get out on the hill can skip the ticket window and scan their card directly at the lift.  X2 cards can also be used as a credit card at businesses around the resort.  That means no more standing around at the ticket window, no more dealing with paper tickets, and no more wallets in the pockets.  It just makes sense.
