Events for All Ages, this Summer at Stratton

 

STRATTON MOUNTAIN, Vt – The Stratton summer activity season kicks off on June 30, with the grand opening of the Summit Gondola Scenic Rides and continues through September with fun for all ages. From family events and fireworks to weekend events for women and some of the best music in the Northeast; Stratton's summer events have it all.

 

July 7-8: Bluegrass Festival – 4 bands Saturday & Sunday each. Fireworks Saturday night. Fly by Night Entertainers.

 

July 14 -15: Live Music and Entertainment in the Village – First Annual Mulligans BBQ Contest w/ 2 categories: Grilled and Smoked. Participants must provide own grills and food. Live music Saturday & Sunday.

 

July 21-22: Hemmings Motor Show & Block Party – food tasting, dunk tank, mini-golf, remote control car races, and Motor Show awards. Friday: Block party -Food provided by village restaurants (w/ bracelet) from 6 – 8 p.m. Beer gardens. Saturday: Block party w/ stilt walkers & magic show. Sunday: band

 

July 28-29: Family Festival & Teddy Bear Parade- Parade, Jelly Bean Taste Test, Puzzle Contest, Ventriloquist, Flag Acres Zoo.

 

August 4-5: Women's Golf week begins at Golf U, combined with a weekend of spa treatments, live entertainment and wine and cheese tasting.

 

August 11-12: Live Jazz in the Village - Local artists will show off their art on easels throughout village with painters on site exhibiting their works in progress. The weekend will include a fashion show from Stratton Retail and artists from Mountainside Photo, Gallery North Star and Von Bargen's Jewelry. Plus live jazz throughout the Village.

 

August 18-19: Live Reggae in the Village - The annual Raggaefest at Stratton Mountain, will kick off Saturday, August 18. Among the vendors and crafts throughout the Stratton Village, a variety of incredible Reggae acts, and a comedian will grace the Village Stage for free performances.

 

August 25-26: The Bondville Fair & Vermont Weekend - The longest running fair in Vermont, the Bondville Fair, will be continuing its rich history of summer fun, all weekend long, with rides, games, animals, great food and various attractions, all at the bottom of the Stratton Mountain access road.

 

September 1-3: Labor Day Weekend Tent Sale - Stratton Village comes alive to mark the unofficial end of summer with free performances, the four day annual Retail Tent Sale, the "Best Wurst Fest" featuring Girls Who Grill and streets filled with local artisans and performers.

 

September 8: The Maple Leaf Half Marathon and 5K – The return of Southern Vermont's historic half marathon.  The race will begin and end at the Dana Thompson Memorial Park. Registration on active.com for all categories.

 

September 15: Tour de Grace Bicycle Rally – A 19 mile bike tour from Stratton Mountain to Grace Cottage Hospital in Townshend, Vermont. The route descends over 1,500 feet in elevation over the course of the race.

 

October 6-8: Wildlife Weekend – Welcome back animals of all sizes to Stratton Village, with lectures, petting zoos and plenty of hands on activities.
