Long an insider secret, the Sun Bowl at Stratton is the right way to start and end each day, especially for day-trippers. With convenient parking, on-snow drop-off and fast lifts that deliver speedy all-mountain access, the Sun Bowl is your direct route to the mountain.
Here's a tip for first tracks from a list of all-time favorite trails posted by journalist Richard Butler (snowsportsna.com): "Sun Riser Supertrail at the Sunbowl at Stratton, a great cruiser with great morning sun. Discover it early, when less crowded and ski it edge to edge, then watch your marks in the groomed snow from the chair."
The Sun Bowl also features many of the same amenities as the main base area, including rentals, food court and winter retail necessities. Plus you'll find a heated outdoor patio and barbecue. You'll want to start your day in the main base area if you are a beginner in a Learn to Ski or Ride program, have children in one of the Snow School program or Childcares, or have booked an early morning lesson.
The Sun Bowl at Stratton is also home to the all new Adventure Center. From the critically acclaimed terrain parks, to the fast-paced action on 750-foot tubing lanes, to a serene snowshoe escape into untracked terrain, this hidden treasure boasts convenience and excitement for all.
