Synergy: When the whole is greater than the sum of the parts.
This program is for children aged 7-13 who are strong all mountain skiers. We introduce children to the multiple disciplines of skiing, including racing, bumps, park and pipe, trees and steeps. We spend time with developing proper skills and techniques so that children are safe and smart about the choices they make while negotiating the mountain. Children will have the opportunity to work with coaches who specialize in each discipline and will ski with the same group of coaches through out the season. We will help each child build a foundation of fundamentals and become a versatile, well rounded skier!
The daily schedule for the Synergy program is 8:45 - 11:45 and 1:00 -3:00. We recommend the younger children are picked up at the meeting area for lunch and at the end of the day.
Included in the cost of the Synergy program is a NASTAR Season Pass. The participants will have access to the NASTAR course at their coaches' discretion as well as anytime they are skiing on their own.
Program dates for the 2010 - 2011 season are:
ALL WEEKENDS from November 27 to March 27, as well as Winter Break (December 26-January 2), Martin Luther King Day (January 17th) and President's Week (February 21-25)
We will host an opening weekend get together for all the seasonal programs on November 28, 2009. This will be an informational meeting where last minute questions can be answered, paperwork finalized and introductions made. We are requesting an e-mail address from everyone this season so we can keep in touch with you on a weekly basis. Please bring the completed Registration Form to the meeting or mail it to Alison at the address below.
As the participants in the SYNERGY program will need a ski with a wide range of applications, we are suggesting a twin tip model as a good choice for the program.
*Synergy meets in the middle of the rental tent on the Slopeside side.
If you would like to receive e-mail communication from us, and you think we may not have your e-mail address, please send e-mail to acummings@intrawest.com with the name of the program(s) your child(ren) participate in as the subject line. We will add you to the list.
