J-III


At the J-III level (ages 13 and 14) the athletes are developing their proficiency  at racing.  The percentage of gate training continues to increase to allow a greater emphasis on racing and tactics.  In addition to their six races these athletes will also compete for a chance to participate in the State Championships, the Junior Olympics, and the J-III Finals.  At the JO's and Finals athletes from all over the Northeast compete in all three events.

Click on the Race Calendar or better yet on Race Lists under Racing in the left column.
At the bottom of that page, where it says season race list, you can click on a filter.  Choose [SVC] and you will have the race schedule.  This is a great website for all of your information needs.  If you look under Council, you will find the SVC rules, schedules and results for each age group.  You should also visit www.USSA.org .
We will send an entry list to each mountain for the races.  Please remember that children need to be members of both USSA and VARA to compete. Please remember to bring your cards to each race for registration.
