The Alpine Race Development Program, sometimes referred to as the J6 program, is made up of Seven and eight year olds (age as of 12/31/2010). At this age, we are exploring varied terrain to improve all skiing skills, introducing kids to the skills needed to become racers, and spending limited time in gates. The goal is to make technically strong skiers who are ready to move into the J5 program, and, most importantly, to make skiing and racing fun! J6 racers will compete at J5 age class race events, based on coaches recommendations. There will be race results for both J5s and J6s.
