Careful Supervision with lots of on hill time!
This program is for children aged 5-7 who are starting to ski most of the mountain in a parallel. Children ski with the same group of instructors during the season, building fond relationships and developing skills through extensive exploration of the mountain. Divided into groups named after trees, the Little Crossroads kids spend time learning about their environment and how important it is to be a thoughtful steward of our mountains.
Little Crossroads is in session all weekends beginning November 27 to March 27, as well as Winter Break (December 26-January 2), Martin Luther King Day (January 17th) and President's Week (February 21-25)
The daily schedule includes 2 sessions a day:
8:45 -11:45 and 1:00- 3:00. We recommend the younger children are picked up at the meeting area for lunch and at the end of the day.
Included in the cost of the Little Crossroads program is a NASTAR Season Pass. The participants will have access to the NASTAR course at their coaches' discretion as well as anytime they are skiing with family or on their own.
Snowboarding and snowshoeing and optional activities offered during the season. Equipment rental cost is additional.
We will have an opening weekend get together for all the seasonal programs on November 28, 2009. This will be an informational meeting where last minute questions can be answered, paperwork finalized and introductions made. Please bring a completed Permission Slip and Rental Form to the meeting, or mail it to Alison at the address below.
