Programs run weekends from November 29th to March 29, Winter Break (December 26-January 4), Martin Luther King Day (January 19th) and President's Week (February 16-20), unless otherwise noted.
(Age 7) 8:30 am – 2:30 pm: For advanced young skiers 7 years of age on 12/31/2008 (2001 year of birth), who are interested in learning race fundamentals, can join the Junior Racing Development Team. The coaches will focus will be on helping young athletes create solid technique and fundamentals, following the USSA development methods, with an introduction to gate training. Program includes two sessions per day, 8:30 to 11:30 and 12:30 to 2:30. (Level 6+ skiers)
(Ages 8 - 18) 8:30 am – 2:30 pm: This weekend and holiday program offers concentrated race training and coaching. Sessions are from 8:30 to 11:30 and 12:30 to 2:30. Program includes gate training in Slalom, Giant Slalom and Super Giant Slalom, plenty of free skiing with a focus on solid skill development. For the JIII-JV there will be coaching for the SVC races as well as any other qualifying state races. For the JI and JII's, there will be coaching at the races which have been deemed appropriate by the coaching staff.
(Ages 8+) 8:30 am – 2:30 pm: This program is designed for the athlete interested in competing at the top of their ability, with training all weekends and holidays from Thanksgiving to March 29th, plus Friday training, as well as coaching at all Southern Vermont Races
(Ages 9 – 18) 9 am – 3 pm: The Freestyle Ski Team is a competitive mogul program for the more serious athlete, with training focused on learning to ski the bumps with proper line, control, speed and the required jumps. Athletes can participate in competitions throughout the East that begin at our own Stevek Mogul Challenge in January. As the athletes' skiing and competition levels advance, their successes could culminate in national and international competition invitations.
(Ages 10 – 18) 9 am to 3 pm: For the advanced freeskier, members of The Freeskiing Competition Team can compete at Freeski events throughout southern Vermont, and this program includes pre-event and event day coaching at these events. There are two coaching sessions per day: 9:00 to 12:00 and 1:00 to 3:00.
