On The First Day . . .
Give yourself extra time. The Junior School check-in starts at 8:30. Arriving at this time allows you to ask questions and gives your child a chance to get settled. Weekends and Holidays can be busy, your understanding is appreciated.
What do I need to bring?
1. The completed registration form
2. Children should be dressed and ready for the lesson, with ski or ride boots on, and clothing appropriate for the weather: waterproof pants and mittens, neck-warmers, goggles, etc. (See "What to Wear" for more details.)
3. A lunch if your child has a special diet. A refrigerator and microwave are available, please inform us of any special instructions. Due to common allergies, however, please do not pack any Peanuts, Peanut Products, or Chocolate.
Rentals . . .
Children's equipment is available: skis, poles, ski boots, snowboards, snowboard boots, and helmets. Save some time in the morning: download the Rental Form for Junior School Rentals and bring the completed form when you come! Up to four family members can be on one form.
Junior School rentals must be an advanced reservation.
*Once registered for the day, children will receive their rentals.
Expectations . . .
* Students learn the importance of skiing and snowboarding responsibly.
* Students learn and practice on easier terrain before advancing to more difficult terrain.
* Very young children may not physically be able to ski.
* Do not place the burden of high expectations for improvement on your child. New skills often need practice before results can be seen. Fun should be emphasized.
* Leading a child to believe that they are more advanced than they are can have a negative impact on their enjoyment of the sport.
* Improving skills does not mean they must go on more difficult terrain.
* Feel free to ski with your child after the lessons, but please stay in terrain that your child is accustomed to and able to ski. Look for your child's progress card to see whats skills need to be practiced.
Security Cards . . .
You will be given a security card for your children in Little Cub at check-in. Your child will only be released to an adult who has the card. There will be no exceptions. We require that an adult with the Security Card is at the mountain at all times.
