* What do I do if my child has special needs?
Please bring any special needs your child may have to our attention - please ask to speak with a supervisor so that we can be clear on the needs and expectations for your child. If your child needs one-on-one attention, we have Adaptive Private Lessons available.
* How should I get my child ready for the program?
Prepare your child for the day. Make sure they have a good breakfast and a good night's sleep: the day Junior school requires a lot of energy.
* How will the child be put into a group?
Children are grouped by ability within their programs. A lesson may have children of varying ages, within the program age range.
* Where will the children be skiing/riding?
All beginner to low intermediate groups will ski or ride at the base of the mountain. All other groups will be on trails to their ability.
*Can I watch while my child is in class?
If you choose to observe your child's group, please do so from a distance so as not to distract the class.
* How long will the children be on snow?
On-snow time varies on the weather, children's stamina, ect.
* What will lunch include?
Lunch includes a variety of hot and cold items. If your child has special dietary needs, please feel free to send a packed lunch. We are a peanut free facility - please don't include peanuts or chocolate if you do pack a lunch.
* Can a child leave for lunch?
If you choose to eat lunch with your child, sign them out at 11:30 and bring them back at 12:45. Please be on time.
* Who is responsible for the child's equipment?
Parents are responsible for picking up equipment from our racks at the end of each day. We cannot be held responsible for lost or stolen equipment.
* Who can pick up a child at the end of the day?
Children must be picked up at the end of the day by an adult who has your your child's security card.
* What happens if a child does not want to participate?
The Junior School programs are alpine programs, not child care. Make sure your child wants to be here before you sign them up. There are no refunds for children who refuse to participate and are in our care.
*When do lessons get cancelled?
Lessons are held regardless of weather. Please be aware of the weather forecast, as cancellations must be made at least the day before. You can call 1-800-STRATTON or locally, 297-4000. There is a cancellation fee for all cancellations.
* What happens if a child is out of control?
We reserve the right to refuse children with uncontrollable behavior.
