GAVE 'EM THE PICKLE!
Due to the overwhelming number of great comments that have been coming in from our guests, we are starting a monthly column in the newsletter to share some of the stories of great customer service YOU have been providing:
Upon leaving the Lot 2 bus, the bus driver thanked everyone and got a "Yeah Stratton" cheer from the guests. It was a fun and upbeat way to end the day and really made me feel appreciated.
One of the scanners at the Sunbowl was talking with guests and realized it was one of their birthdays. She got the whole lift line to sing Happy Birthday to her! It really was magic; everyone waiting in a rather long line was laughing and feeling great. UPDATE - Just in from our on Mountain Spy… it was Sara Wolicki from Finance. Thank you Sara!
It was really busy in the Base Lodge and I dropped my cheeseburger and fries. When I went up to buy another one, the cashier remembered me and asked what happened to my lunch. When I told her the story she kindly took care of the burger and fries for me. Thank you!
If you have any great customer service stories, please forward to Sara Colgan in HR to include in future newsletters.

Come down to HR and have a chat with anyone of our staff!!!
HEALTH AND WELLNESS
It's cold and flu season and there are a few things you can due to make sure you stay ahead of all those germs!
~Exercise is a proven immune booster so get in a daily walk or take some runs!
~Sleep well!! Good rest will give your body the strength it needs to fight those colds.
~Wash your hands often and well!!!
~Don't touch your face. Rubbing your eyes, nose, and mouth spreads germs and makes you susceptible to colds.

~If your sick , STAY HOME!

EARLY MORNINGS, LATE NIGHTS, TIRED EYES: JUST SMILE
We've made it through the first holiday season and everyone is getting burnt. Fighting colds, sporting it through rain and ice storms, waking up early, going to bed late, and smiling the whole time!! Lets not lose our luster and keep on smiling!
Superior Customer Service is of the utmost importance at Stratton and a smile is a powerful thing! When you get to the mountain in the morning and your feeling a little less than happy for whatever reason just tell yourself to smile. The first few people you smile at you might have to clench your teeth and fight with your instincts, but before you know it your mood will be lifted and your instinct will be to smile. Smiling is contagious and can affect your mood and the moods of others around you. Sometimes just telling yourself to smile in the morning can make the difference between and ok day at work and a great day at work. Let's all remember we're here to sell a good time and to have a good time doing it!
