Have it Your Way: Like Burger King (minus the fries)

The much awaited point system will be rolled out in October for all of our Core and Regular employees followed by additional roll-outs in November for all seasonal employees. What is the point system you ask?

The point system was put together by a committee of employees in response to your concerns about inequality in our perks! This new program is meant to provide flexibility and choice to the perks you receive from us. Just like opting for onion rings instead of fries; only different.

The point system comes with two options. Option one is to cover all of your dependents with seasons passes. Option two is to use your points to customize your perks.

If using option 2 all Core, Regular & Seasonal Full Time employees receive 1,500 points. Seasonal Part Time employees and Volunteers receive 500 points for their first year of service and additional points are awarded for more years of service. Everyone still gets a seasons pass for themselves without having to apply any of their points towards it.

"Big ticket items," Including an annual membership to the Sports Center (500 points), Dependent passes (500 points), Non-Dependent Passes (1,500 points), and Golf Membership (500 points) must all be chosen when your seasons pass is picked up.

Smaller items such as day tickets (100 points), a group ski lessons (50 points), and rentals (50 points) can be elected when needed.

On top of all that you still have the option of purchasing these perks at a reduced employee rate. For example you can purchase up to 5 discounted tickets (50% off mid-week 25% off weekends and holidays) throughout the season. You can also purchase ski lessons for $10 and rentals for $10-12.

The points system is a really exciting way for all of us to get exactly what we want!!! This innovative approach at ski resort perks is just one more thing that makes Stratton a unique and rewarding place to work! This program was put together after your feedback in EOS surveys!!! Keep the opinions coming!!!

What Ever Happened to the Bears?

It seems like years ago now that the Stratton Bears were in the fight for their lives. Or well, for a two foot plastic trophy and co-ed softball victory for a year. Stratton ended the season in second place; still receiving a sweet trophy and a few free beers. Thanks Maxwells! Be on the lookout for next years fresh out of hibernation bears!!!
