The USASA Southern Vermont Snowboard and Freeski Series returns to Stratton for 5 events – three rail jams and two skier/boardercross competitions.
The second rail jam heats up the features in Tyro on January 6, and is open to both skiers and riders of all ages and abilities.
Competition Format
8:30-9:30 am: Registration and bib pick-up, Base Lodge
9-10 am: Competitor warm-up
10:05 am: Mandatory riders meeting
10:10 am: Age group jams start. Participants compete against skiers/riders of the same age.
2 pm: Awards and raffle in contest arena

Day-of: 8:30 – 9:30 am, West Wing of the Base Lodge
Pre-register: download registration form here, and submit at least seven days in advance. Pre-registered skiers and riders must check-in by 8:30 am on the day of the jam in the West Wing of the Base Lodge.
Fee: $55, includes lift ticket

The January 6 Rail Jam is one of two X-Games rail jam qualifiers. The top male and female snowboarder and skier from both Stratton rail jams will be awarded spots to compete in Aspen at the X Games rail jam venue. Overall winners will be selected during the Finals jam at each event (lowest two place points win, ties will be broken by judges).
