How much does it cost to participate?
It's free to register for the Be. Series. All the events have registration fees associated with them.
How difficult are the events?
We've categorized and color coded all the Be. events to make it easy to distinguish the difficulty. Green means easy; there are 7 green events. Blue means moderate; there are 5 blue events. Black means difficult; there are 6 black events.
How old do you have to be to participate?
There's really no age limit to the Be. Series. The individual events may have some age stipulations, but the Series itself is open to everyone.
What if I missed the Gobble Gobble Wobble; can I still sign up for the Series?
Yes! Anyone can sign up at ANYTIME during the series. You may not want to participate in the Gobble Gobble Wobble and that's okay. Join the Be. Event Series at your convenience.
How do I find out how many points I've accumulated?
Stop by any Be. Tracking Station and they can pull up your total Be. points.
What do I do if I lose my Be. card?
Stop by The Hub (the village), Information Desk (base lodge neighboring cafeteria), Stratton Sports Center (across from Stratton Springs) or Guest Services (base lodge across from Stratton Sports) for a re-issued card.
Where are the Be. Tracking stations?
The Hub (the village), Information Desk (base lodge neighboring cafeteria), Stratton Sports Center (across from Stratton Springs) and Guest Services (base lodge across from Stratton Sports).
What is the most points I could get?
At a single event, 60 points (that includes the bonus points of bringing a friend – 24 Hours of Stratton Event). If you tallied up the possible points you could earn for the entire series minus the Bonus Points and Yoga Month Points, there’s 691 points at stake!
What if there's a tie?
In the event of a tie, the following steps will be taken to determine the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winner.
Step 1: New Points are awarded based on distance in the following three events.
Tour De Bondville:
50 mile = 50 points
28 mile = 28 points
14 mile = 14 points
1 leg = 50 points
Each additional leg = 50 points
½ Marathon = 50 points
5k = 14 points
If we still have a tie or this does not apply to those in the tie, we move to step 2.
Step 2: The participant who entered the most events wins.
If we still have a tie, we move to step 3.
Step 3: The participant who earned most friend points wins.
If we still have a tie, we move to step 4.
Step 4: Lottery, names are drawn at random to determine the tie breaker.
Why is Stratton doing this?
Stratton wants to inspire and encourage healthy living. By creating the Be. Event Series, we're building a group of people all united with a common goal, to Be. something more, better, happy, healthy and the list goes on and on. We want to create a place where all walks of life can come and better themselves knowing they have the Stratton family by their side every step of the way.
What if Stratton cancels an event?
We at Stratton Mountain are dedicated to delivering an exciting and memorable participant experience. In the rare and unavoidable cancellation of any of the events due to weather, lack of participation or other causes, we will refund the registration fee for the individual event, and no points will be accrued.
What happens if I get hurt and can't finish an event?
Points are awarded only upon completion of a Be. event. Unfortunately, your points would be forfeited.
