In anticipation of this winter season, Stratton made improvements in every corner of the resort. These improvements range from the aesthetic to the operational and we are eager to share them with you.
- March marks the arrival of the U.S. Freestyle Championships to Stratton which will bring the U.S. Freestyle Ski Team as well as the best of divisional skiers from across the country to compete for the top title in moguls, aerials, halfpipe and dual moguls. Six days of events on and off the hill, including concerts, giveaways and a chance to meet superstars like Hannah Kearney.
- As you walk into Cob's Market in the base lodge, you'll notice that paper products have been replaced with reusable dishware. This is the result of the Dish Project, a new initiative which will help Stratton eliminate over four tons of paper goods from our waste stream.
- The lift serviced Coca Cola Tubing Park in the Sun Bowl is back for its second season. Opening to rave reviews in 2009-2010, with lanes that stretch up to 750 feet long, we've made it even more enticing with a warming hut that is never without hot chocolate and wine.
- Summer saw the hire of two full time fabricators to the Stratton Parks Team who've been working tirelessly, welding and cutting new features as we look to elevate our parks terrain.
- Last winter, Olympian Lindsey Jacobellis took an early morning ride with grooming maestro Al Desroches with suggestions for improvements to the boardercross course on East Byrneside. Along with the input of 2002 Olympic gold medalist Ross Powers, we've created a realistic and competitive boardercross course that mustn't be missed.
- The new Double Diamond Café marries the convenience of big city pizzerias with the artisanal flavors of Italy. An Italian marble oven has been installed on the first floor of the base lodge that churns out warm pizza by the slice and pie. Double Diamond is just as vital to your morning routine as dinner: stop in and take an espresso to go on the way to the Gondola.

- The first thing you'll notice when walking towards the base area is that the big red rental tent is gone! This was catalyzed by the arrival of our new rental fleet which is organized by the Head BYS System. Five simple steps from start to finish streamline the rental process, taking our guests from the counter to the slopes with ease.
- In continued commitment to our top snowmaking and renowned grooming, we've added over 120 snow guns to our arsenal and replaced two front line snow cats.
- Grizzly's, long regarded as Vermont's premier après-ski spot, reopens Saturday nights as Grizzly's Night Club for live music and dancing, welcoming bands from far and near.
Stratton is more than a ski resort; it's your home and our home. We're proud of all we've undertaken over these past few months and hope that you enjoy them as much as we've enjoyed orchestrating them.
